L’The National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) made available on July 17 the second edition of the Regulation on Drones, better known as “Remotely Piloted Aircraft”.
The changes to the first ENAC regulation will come into force 60 days after their publication on the Authority's website.
The Regulation, as stated by the Agency itself on its website, "aims to provide answers to the issues underlying the development of UAV activities, proposing a balanced approach to safety issues that takes into account the technical and operational characteristics of remotely piloted systems, the methods of airspace occupation, the contribution made by the operator's management skills and the qualifications of the pilots of these vehicles.".
The most significant developments appear to be those relating to drones flying over urban areas.
