Fulvio Sarzana among the high-level experts in artificial intelligence and blockchain appointed by the Italian Government.

The Ministry of Economic Development has selected the experts for the high-level group to develop the national strategy on artificial intelligence and blockchain.

They will develop the national strategy on artificial intelligence and the national strategy on technologies based on shared ledgers and blockchain.

The selection process for the High-Level Expert Groups, which will work with the Ministry of Economic Development to develop the national strategy on artificial intelligence and the national strategy for technologies based on shared ledgers and blockchain, has been completed.

The selections were made based on the criteria set out in the notice, including proven and strictly relevant expertise and experience, including at the European and/or international level, in the relevant fields of artificial intelligence, distributed ledger technologies, and blockchain and their applications, including clearly relevant technological, business, legal, and scientific expertise; as well as the proven ability to effectively communicate the needs and concerns of stakeholders or the relevant body.

The MISE believes that it is a fundamental priority for our country to know, study and address the topic of Artificial Intelligence and technologies based on distributed ledgers and blockchain, as well as to increase public and private investments in this direction and in technologies closely connected to them, as already expressed in the programmatic lines presented by the MISE.IF

To ensure transparency and benefit from maximum sharing and input from the entire community of interest, the National Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Strategies, once developed, will be submitted to a public consultation. The first meeting of the selected experts will be held in January 2019.
