Certified mail in the Official Journal: the rules
The Ministerial Decree containing the "Technical Rules for the Service of Transmission of Electronic Documents via Certified Electronic Mail" (all the technical and functional requirements that must be met by the platforms used to provide the service) was published in the Official Journal of November 14, 2005, No. 265. The CNIPA also published the draft Circular—approved by the Board on November 10, 2005—containing the procedures for submitting accreditation applications for the public list of Certified Email Providers by public and private entities wishing to provide this service. This is to allow interested parties to prepare the necessary documentation in a timely manner. The official text of the Circular will be published shortly in the Official Journal. The CNIPA will carry out the supervisory and control activities assigned to it by the law and, through a dedicated Competence Center, will support public administrations in introducing Certified Email (PEC) into administrative procedures.
