Privacy and Green Pass
A two-color traffic light, red or green. Red: that teacher doesn't yet have a green pass, he or she can't enter school. And after five days of absence, he or she remains without pay. Green: everything is fine. The digital platform the government is preparing, in anticipation of the mandatory green pass that will come into force on September 1st for all school staff, is the first major automatic check of these "green certificates" (or "digital green certificates," as Europe calls them).
From a technological and convenience standpoint, this is a significant step forward; however, from a privacy and employment law standpoint, this innovation opens up new challenges, as several jurists have been reflecting on recently.
