Privacy: Here's the decree, the code is not completely repealed.

The government is reportedly ready to submit to Parliament a draft implementing decree for the significantly revised privacy regulation, after receiving approval from the State General Accounting Office. Among the most significant changes is certainly the partial repeal of the Privacy Code and, more importantly, the reintroduction of criminal sanctions, through a reformulation of Article 167 of the Privacy Code. These sanctions, however, will be limited to specific cases, namely the massive processing of data, the transfer of data abroad, and the fraudulent acquisition of data. However, doubts remain regarding the wording of the provisions on administrative sanctions and the transition from the old to the new criminal law provisions.
