Privacy Symposium in Venice April 5-7

April 5 2022: Fulvio Sarzana di S.Ippolito will be speaking at the international Privacy Symposium in Venice to support international dialogue and cooperation for privacy.

Sarzana will be a speaker in the session “Privacy and the Market: Overlapping between Data Protection and Other Sectoral Regulations”.

Around GDPR, the European Union is developing a legal ecosystem for protecting and enhancing information: Regulation 2018/1807, Directive (EU) 2019/1024, Directive (EU) 2019/770, Data Act, Data Governance Act, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, ePrivacy Regulation, Artificial Intelligence Regulation. The strategy is ambitious but has the risk of overlap. A discussion on how to adapt to this ecosystem and how to seize its opportunities for enhanced rights and freedoms.

The Privacy Symposium aims at promoting international dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge sharing on data protection regulations, compliance, and emerging technologies.
