The Special Currency Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza in Rome is executing 9 precautionary seizure orders against as many websites
and Facebook pages dedicated to cryptocurrency trading.
The provision was signed by the GIP of Rome.
The sites, which use the term "bitcoin," are said to be part of an international network that promises high profits from trading cryptocurrency-based financial products.
The precautionary measure follows a warning issued by CONSOB in January 2018 and concerns sites that engage in automatic trading and social trading.
The peculiarity of the measure, in addition to the object of the seizure, is the simultaneous seizure of Facebook pages associated with cryptocurrency trading.
