Adopted regulations concerning WI MAX

Rome, 9 May 2007. The Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (Agcom), has adopted regulations concerning Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX). WiMAX is a standard-based wireless technology that provides high throughput broadband connections over long distance. WiMAX can be used for a number of applications, including “last mile” broadband connections, hotspots and high-speed connectivity for business customers. In Itay Wi-Max is being seen as a solution to the lack of access to last mile connectivity.
