EU Council: Negotiations on Proposal for an ePrivacy Regulation Towards postponement ?

The Estonian Presidency of the European Council  should propose to postpone negotiations on European Commission’s proposal for a Regulation on Privacy.

The cause would be the disagreement between the EU states on the extension of the OTT of privacy obligations in the electronic communications sector, but also the treatment of metadata and the consent to the processing of data.

For these reasons, on 4 December, date of the European Council, the Estonian Presidency should propose postponement of negotiations during the Bulgarian Presidency.
